The First Ireland Sub-Regional Training
The Association of Medical Students Ireland (AMSI) is delighted to announce that applications are now open for the very first Irish Sub-Regional Training (SRT), taking place in Dublin from 9–11 January 2026. This event marks an exciting milestone for AMSI as we return in full force to provide high-quality training, renewed motivation, and opportunities for growth within the medical student community.
This year’s SRT will feature the International Training on Disaster Medicine (ITDM), an engaging and dynamic workshop designed to equip participants with the essential skills needed to lead humanitarian responses in times of crisis. Attendees will gain valuable insights into disaster preparedness, emergency response, and the protection of human rights during emergencies—knowledge that is increasingly vital in today’s global landscape.
The participation fee is €100 for successful applicants. We encourage students to apply early to secure a place. Applications are open until Wednesday, 10 December 2025 at 23:59 GMT. The application link can be found below.
In addition to the academic programme, participants will enjoy a vibrant social schedule each evening, offering the chance to connect with peers from across Ireland, build meaningful friendships, and create unforgettable memories. Full details of the workshop, agenda, and social programme are available in our Invitation Package.

Who we are
The Association of Medical Students, Ireland (AMSI) is a unified network of medical students from all eight medical schools across Ireland. We work together on advocacy, education, global health, research, public health campaigns, clinical international exchanges, and much more. As Ireland’s National Member Organization to the International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA), we are part of a global federation of over 1.3 million medical students in more than 120 countries — giving our members the opportunity to work and collaborate locally, nationally, and internationally.
What we do
AMSI connects medical students across Ireland and the world to exchange ideas, develop skills, and initiate projects that make a difference. Our work spans advocacy, education, public health, research, and global health — giving our members the skills and resources to become future health leaders. We create opportunities for members to engage in impactful campaigns, participate in international exchanges, and contribute to projects that benefit both medical students and the communities they serve.
Participants of the AMSI National General Assembly, held on October 11th, 2025, at Trinity College Dublin. The event brought together local chapter presidents and national committee members from all 8 member schools across the Island of Ireland.
