AMSI UL Chapter President

Fikayo Adeloye

I am a first-year medical student at the University of Limerick who is deeply passionate about mentorship, student empowerment, and walking alongside others as they discover and use their unique gifts to make a positive impact.

Originally from Calgary, Canada, I hold an International Baccalaureate diploma and a BSc in Biological Sciences. Before medical school, I spent two years at the Alberta Children’s Hospital working closely with children who had undergone tracheostomies and supporting their families through Pediatric Homecare. I also managed the Community Pediatric Acute Consultation program, where I saw firsthand how thoughtful systems can ease pressure on healthcare workers while improving patient care. These experiences shaped my belief that empowerment—feeling informed, heard, and supported—matters at every stage of life.

Outside of medicine, I run an event planning business (Events by Fiki), lead worship in my local church, and mentor young girls who aspire to careers in medicine.
